Collaboration with ICIRO University of La Coruña: Postgraduate Training Module

This year, we renewed our collaboration with ICIRO University of La Coruña, contributing once again to the postgraduate program in implantology and oral surgery. These educational partnerships allow us to share our clinical approach with future oral surgeons and help strengthen the bridge between theory and practice.
Focus of the Clinical Module
The full-day module focused on two major pillars of advanced oral surgery: bone regeneration and soft tissue management.
In the morning, students attended a theory session that included:
-
Biological foundations of bone healing
-
Techniques in guided bone regeneration (GBR)
-
Strategies for soft tissue preservation in implantology
In the afternoon, the group moved on to hands-on training with animal models. Participants practiced:
-
Tunnel access for grafting
-
Connective tissue harvesting
-
Suturing techniques adapted to peri-implant tissues
This balance between theory and practice ensured that participants could immediately apply their knowledge in a simulated surgical context.
Strengthening Skills Through Academic Collaboration
Our collaboration with ICIRO University of La Coruña continues to foster clinical skill-building through real surgical scenarios and expert guidance.
We thank Gt-Medical, ICIRO, and all the students for their professionalism and enthusiasm during the session.
