Treating gum recession after braces is a growing demand in modern clinical dentistry. In this case, we applied a single-step method for **covering recessions after orthodontics**, reducing treatment time and achieving highly aesthetic outcomes.

### Managing Soft Tissue Defects After Orthodontic Treatment

A healthy 38-year-old non-smoker came to our clinic after finishing orthodontic therapy. She noticed gum recession on a lower incisor, worsened by a high frenal attachment.

While a two-phase approach was possible—first performing a frenectomy, then a connective tissue graft—we chose to resolve everything in one procedure. We first performed a vestibular frenectomy and stabilized the flap by suturing it to the periosteum. Then, we created a supraperiosteal tunnel across the lower four incisors to place the connective tissue graft harvested from the palate.

Unlike epithelial grafts, connective tissue adapts through metaplasia, blending naturally with surrounding tissue. This results in a uniform appearance without visible patching.

### Predictable Results in Covering Recessions After Orthodontics

Achieving long-term success in **covering recessions after orthodontics** depends on surgical precision and biological integration. This one-step method allows for faster recovery and consistent results.
