This patient came to us with an implant placed in position 36 by another colleague requiring us to place an implant in position 34 in order to be able to place a bridge over implants 34-35-36.
We observed poor quality of soft tissues, fundamental to the survival of the implants in the long term. For this reason, rather than performing a crestal incision access, we enabled placement of the implant with modified Kazanjian vestibuloplasty access.
This enabled us to place the implant, gain adhered gum and vestibular depth at the same time, avoiding the patient having to have treatment in the future to improve soft tissue.
